We weren’t able to accomplish everything in my Pirate Mark activity pack, but made time for the craftivity and reading and highlighting /ar/ words in the poem with a friend. What our Math Content Board looks like right now.  I capitalized that like it was formal or something.  It’s really not.  Just posted on a bulletin board in our classroom for easy reference. And, some literacy anchor charts, recently illustrated.  Also, my kids cannot for the life of them keep author and illustrator straight!  I’m kicking myself for not putting these up sooner. Lastly, we are busing learning addition and subtraction within 40 right now, somewhat complicated by our new standards and the fact that Math in Focus goes a little more in depth than necessary according to the CCSS.  One of our fab second grade teachers had this super cute poem up in her room, and I just had to snag it.  I haven’t displayed it in my classroom yet because we’re really not supposed to be teaching algorithms at this point.
