It's week 7 at FZD, which means mid-term projects. Here are some really nice entertainment designs by our Term 3 students.

Crabber No 1    17" X 22"

This crabber is a composite of several house-aft Bering Sea crab boats. The drawing shows the fish holds loaded with red king crab, the engine room.

This is a traditional wooden troller working in fine weather on open water with quite a few lovely dressed king salmon below decks. This is a classic steel salmon seiner hauling aboard a pretty nice set of fish in Alaska. Here you can see the boats below deck spaces and the fish being spilled onto the deck from the end of the seine net cascading down into the fish hold where they will be refrigerated in water.The captain is controlling the rigging and winches with hydraulic valves at the back of the house while a crew member pulls the hatch cover to let the fish go down.
