And here's a closer look at the attifet made for the #redthreaded2016 photoshoot! Inspired by the heart shaped headpieces of the Tudor/Elizabethan era but with a fantasy flair. I have ALWAYS wanted to make one of these so this was a real joy (and challenge) to work on! I made the frame in millinery wire and gold painted sinamay with edges bound in gold satin ribbon. Metallic trim is stitched along the top edge which is crested with wire headpins covered in goldtone brass amber aurora glass…
