How to Make Ree's Creamy Pork Chop Pasta | pork chop, Ree Drummond, dinner, pasta | Pan-fried pork chops with creamy pasta will make your weeknight dinner rotation SO much better! 🙌 Watch The Pioneer Woman - Ree Drummond, Saturdays at... | By Food Network | REE DRUMMOND: Creamy, luscious pork chop pasta. So I'm getting the pasta in first, and I'm just using fettuccine. It's going to take about eight minutes to cook. Give it a stir to get it going. So while the pasta cooks, I'm going to get the pork chops going. I am using breakfast pork chops. By far, my favorite pork chop there is. They're cut super thin, and the bones are still in them. So they're just wonderful. I cook them whether they're going on a pasta dish, or I'm just serving them alongside baked potatoes. Ladd and Todd are absolutely nuts about pork chops, so I'm always looking for fun, new ways to cook them and serve them. [music playing] I seasoned the pork chops with salt and pepper and just dredged them in a little bit of flour. And I've got oil and butter in the pan. So simple. So I need to cook the pork chops for about three minutes per side, until they're nice and golden and totally cooked through. Look at these beautiful pork chops. Oh, this is why I love these thin breakfast chops. They're so golden, so crisp, and light. Since they're so thin, you don't get to full eating just one. So I'm going to move forward with a really simple sauce, just right in the same pan. I'll add a couple of tablespoons of butter. I'm going to keep the pan on. And then before I take the pasta out, I'm going to reach in there with a heat-proof pitcher and grab a little of that starchy pasta water and pour it in with the butter. [sizzling] And then while it's sizzling away, I'm just to deglaze and scrape all of those little bits from the bottom of the pan. That's where all the amazing flavor is. All righty. So by now the pasta is ready. So the pasta goes in. I'm going to add some Parmesan just to add even more flavor. And some heavy cream. And in a dish like this, it doesn't take much. So probably just a quarter cup. Now, before I toss, I want to add some dried parsley. Of course, you can use fresh. But I love how bright-green the dried stuff is, and if you add it and give it time to kind of reconstitute, you really won't know the difference between this and if you use fresh parsley. Oh, boy. Now I'm just going to toss it. And that light sauce is just coating that fettuccine. I forgot. I'm going to add plenty of black pepper. I love the flavor of black pepper with a simple noodle dish like this. A little bit of salt, though the Parmesan is plenty salty. But this is my idea of heaven. All righty, so the pasta is ready, so I'm kind of spreading it out. And the pork chops go right on top. This is glorious. It celebrates pork chops. It celebrates pasta. [chuckles] It just celebrates family cooking. What can I say? And actually, I'm going to sprinkle a little extra parsley flakes over. That looks so pretty.
