This Vintage syrup pitcher or sugar dispenser has a glass base and a y chrome screw top lid, with a green Bakelite handle. It is marked on bottom of glass in raised lettering: Federal Housewares - Chicago 45 Illinois - 14 Size: 5 inches height, base is 3.25 inches, 2-inch rim. Good Condition: used, no chips, normal glass imperfections, however metal slide opener does not stay attached when thumb lever is released. Comments: To operate- push with your thumb to open the slide to pour the syrup or sugar. To close the slide you have to push thumb lever down again, push slide cover back in place over latch on thumb lever, and it will then slide closed.
