What you want is to create a "melt pool" that fills the diameter of the candle. Not doing so causes candle tunneling - you don't want candle tunneling. By burning 3-4 hours the first time, it ensures that your candle burns evenly and for its full life. • Keep your wick trimmed to 1/4" before every burn.• Be attentive.
