Music literacy is something that can bless your child her entire life. You never know when the opportunity to sing will present itself, and it's so nice to have a clue as to what's going on! My own children have been in multiple singing groups - church choirs, co-op Christmas programs, church congregational singing, leading VBS music - and I'm sure yours have, too.
