Peter Van Dyck and Carolyn Pyfrom are two artists whose work I have admired and been intrigued by since first coming across their paintings in 2012 through the Perceptual Painters’ website. I later realized they were both Florence Academy of Art graduates as well, and have remained curious about their style of painting and way of seeing that seem to synthesize several schools of thought and practice.
