As for my political endorsements in 2017, for whomever they may interest... For U. S. Congress in Utah's 3rd district, I can't conscientiously support Allen or Bennett or Curtis, I consider Whalen better but not good enough, and I fully endorse either Christensen or Buchman. For Provo mayor, I reject both Kaufusi and Everett for continuing Curtis' statist status quo, and I don't find enough favor with write-in Miner. For Orem mayor, I wholeheartedly endorse Hans Andersen.

A Constitutional convention ("Con con") at present, via Article V, would almost certainly consist of mostly-statist delegates who would do more to replace this inspired charter than to perfect it. And we need it perfected less than it needs to be respected. In order to regain a majority of public officers who will effectively uphold Constitutional principles, we need to persuade enough of our neighbors to do likewise. While doing this, a better solution to federal overreach is nullification.

Our federal government has overstepped its constitutional bounds.

I'd highly recommend subscribing to the John Birch Society's flagship publication, which is its weekly New American magazine. This publication remains one of my most favorite news sources, especially about political developments.

Pebble C.E.O. Tom Collier, a former Clinton Interior appointee, proposed to Obama's EPA that he be permitted to mine in Alaska, but the EPA unprecedentedly rejected Collier's proposal without even considering it. In 2017, Collier consulted with EPA director Scott Pruitt, who encouraged Collier to re-submit his proposal---but radical environmentalists responded by fervently opposing its consideration, while condemning it as a severe threat to the pristinity of Alaska's Bristol Bay 100 miles…

Tax-credit scholarships, sometimes called scholarship tax credits, are different from other school choice programs, such as school vouchers.

As American delegates attended special state conventions during 1787-1788 to debate ratification of America's proposed new federal Constitution, its supporters were able to prevail ONLY by promising its opponents to amend this charter to include a Bill of Rights, which they did by the end of 1791. Some have called the Bill of Rights superfluous, but it's arguably served as a useful secondary line-of-defense after Congress began ignoring limits upon its delegated powers.

According to the Declaration of Independence, "Governments are instituted among Men" to "secure [our] rights." Learn from this video how the Bill of Rights w.

Today is John Locke's birthday! Locke was born on 1632 Aug 29, and wrote two famous philosophical treatises on government in 1688 that rejected absolute monarchy to embrace rightful liberty; these treatises helped provide the intellectual justification for both England's Glorious Revolution (in which Locke participated in a successful conspiracy to replace absolute monarch King James II with limited co-monarchs William & Mary) and the American Revolution a century later.

John Locke’s work on natural rights, property, and the limits of just governments makes him a central philosopher among classical liberals.

Here's a helpful John Birch Society webpage about opposing NAFTA, along with other such managed-trade agreements that build international government. It presents some helpful tools for educating yourself, for informing others, and for lobbying our politicians accordingly.

Choose Freedom — Stop the Free Trade Agenda Free trade agreements have decimated the base of American manufacturing by off-shoring.

Crimes are sins that violate God-given rights, and sins don't cease to be sinful simply because they become popular, or even legal. Coercive redistribution-of-wealth is essentially large-scale legalized plunder, and unjust warfare is essentially large-scale legalized murder---and such criminal sins should be prosecuted not perpetrated.
