Untitled - 2011 - Grapefruit, blued and rusted wire Todd Hoyer 2011    Size   H: 17 in  W: 8 in  D: 8 in   This piece was turned from grapefruit wood. It was then weathered for two years and stored for another 5 years while we built our new studio and house. In 2011, it was completed by carving and burning the work. Nearly 600 pieces of blued and rusted, crimped wire were embedded in the recesses, creating an interwoven layer within.
