Details of a piece from the Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter 2018 pre-collection designed by fashion designer Sarah Burton. The collection is inspired by the British Art Nouveau style, its tendrilly, curlicued schemes, rich tapestries and drawings of Aubrey Beardsley. The embroidered curved lines of birds and flowers are created using gold sequins outlined with silver beading.
