Textile fragment 14th century 30 x 31 cm, Fragment (two pieces sewed together). Ground: dark neutral purple 5/1 satin. Design: undulating vines and flying pheasants woven with gold (gilded skin wound on linen) thread, and pink and cream silk, weft, tied by fine pink silk warp. (The pattern weft go from selvedge to selvedge). 3/1 weft-faced twill pattern
