This tapestry depicts a knight carrying the coat of arms of Jean de Daillon (d.1481), officer and adviser to Louis XI of France. The original was ordered from Wuillaume Desreumaulx of Tournai by de Daillon himself, although he never lived to see it completed. It was, however, delivered to his widow in 1483 a
