I used some of the words my kindergarteners need to know by the end of the year. I told the kids to "crash" their fingers when they met up, and then read the word. They roll 2 dice, one with numbers and one with the letters. The original directions have the child crossing each word off once it's read, but my kids need repetition, so I want them to roll the same combinations over and over again. I have also written one card (1d, 4e..) for each word and had the kids "crash" their fingers that way.
