Still-life with a pink tea-pot. Alexander Kuprin (1880-1960) Studied in St.Petersburg in 1902-1904 and in 1904-1906, at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In 1910 he established the “Jack of Diamonds” association. The artists had a common interest in French painting (Cezanne) along with thetraditions of Russian folk art. The artists’ work included still-lives which provided many opportunities to explore the interactions between form, space and colour.
