The Wrong I Needed to Write
My yoga classes helped me listen to my body, but didn’t prepare me to understand the triggers that might come up— or ways to listen to the stories as they were unfolding through my practice. Yoga, sitting meditation, and the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh helped me discover that I needed attention both to my body and to language; I needed both movement and stillness; I needed, ultimately, mind, body, and spirit all to come together. You can find my reflection in this published article at the link!

Are you enough? Some thoughts and some love
I tell my students: you might not write your most captivating poem this time around, but if you cut off your breath, then you never will write at your full potential. So take a risk: go for it, and keep trying. Read, write, learn from what you love and engage fully. Keep listening inside and allowing the process to move from the inner to the outer without judgment. To Read more, come over to my blog post at the link!

Growth and Change
It is natural to worry about the inability to have personal growth or personal change in life. However, it is by being fully present that we can fully move into the future. We need to love and accept ourselves in order to continue on our path of personal healing and growth. This allows us to become more mindful and, as writers, write our most creative, powerful and deep work.
Are you enough? Some thoughts and some love
We all have our own path of growth, our own path of discovery. We all have room for growth in our lives. We all have room for greater awareness and more skill. As we mature and grow as people, our essential “goodness” does not change. This process can be a part of personal healing and is important for recognizing ourselves or increasing personal growth. Read more about the importance of this at the link!
Are you enough? Some thoughts and some love
The question of whether we are “good enough” comes from feeling judged, and this restricts us. We experience ourselves as lacking, and a sense of lack leads in turn to our not being able to inhabit our full selves, to our making poor decisions and to living in constricted ways. Healing Presence: Interview with Sister Dang Nghiem
I had the pleasure of interviewing Sister Dang Nghiem. Sister D, as she is known, is tall and stately. She’s a powerful Dharma teacher, and her presence is almost magnetic. When she moves, she seems to glide through the room, and when she sits in meditation, her entire body is still. I was able to learn a lot with her about spiritual practice, healing, and mindfulness. 3 Books to Change Your Life
Can reading really change you? Here are some books by Thich Nhat Hanh that can change your life. They are great for mindfulness and for gaining an overview of the teachings of Buddhism. Reading Thay’s books can help you re-orient yourself, come out of struggle, and come into greater trust, appreciation, and attention. They can be read many times, and each time they are read, you can deepen your understanding and your own practice of peace and compassion.
