This “song” is my favorite in the series of Depressionism ambient guitar / instrumental music. And perhaps it is the shortest) Hope you will enjoy it! I think it is as sad and thoughtful as it was meant to be for the conception of Depressionism. It is also as airy, spatial and atmospheric as it should sound in Ambient as far as I understand “ambient music”.

Here I go again with my Depressionism concept. Spring, avitaminosis… Some tracks under the banner of Depressionism were composed years ago, some are pretty new. This one is the latest. Thanks for watching! Gear used: Godin Multiac Steel SA Fishman Aura Spectrum DI Strymon BigSky

This is a video that is made of 2.5D animated photos I took in the period of 2012-2016 at the Lake Baikal and the region: Olkhon island, Small Sea, Round Baikal Rail Road (КБЖД), Kurma bay, Mamai – a snowboarding spot in Khamar-Daban Mountains. The music was originally composed for Vasily Medvedev’s documentary “Нити добра” / “Threads of Goodness” (no, Vasily is not my brother or some other kind of a relative – it’s a funny coincidence that turned out to be a effective and creative union).

This is a short video that I did with “trip-hop” guitar sound in mind.

I wanted to play something really short). There are stacking delays on the main rhythmic part – two stereo delays, one in 480ms (Roland VG-99) and another in 480ms dotted (Strymon Timeline). Hence the video’s name. You can listen to my Soundscapes and Ambient guitar here: https://mikemed.bandcamp.com/album/am... In this tutorial I would like to show you some ideas how to settle two delay effects and what you can play using them. This tutorial was planned to be an illustration of how I formed the rhythmic structure of the main part in my previous video: https://youtu.be/Ig3so0ZQ18c

From my point of view this video belongs to both concepts that I share and describe as “Ambient Guitar” and “Depressionism”. When I think about Ambient guitar music and Ambient music in general the first thing that comes to my mind is “ambiance” and “space”… I don’t think Ambient music should spin around soundscapes and textures only… No. What really matters is the feeling of “ambient”. This is also often what can be described as “slow music”. As for Depressionism it speaks for itself…
