Louis XV Gilt-Bronze Mounted Turquoise Glazed Floral Encrusted Porcelain Potpourri  Circa 1745  Struck with C poincon couronne, the reticulated body molded with bamboo branches surrounded by blossoming flowers, on a scrolling base cast with lions and a lamb on a rockwork foliate base. Height 8 1/4 inches (21 cm).  The couronne poincoin or crowned 'C' indicated a tax that was levied on all copper alloys sold between March 1745 and February 1749.
