Peter Pears, Galina Vishnevskaya, Benjamin Britten, Mstislav Rostropovich and Marion Harewood
I interviewed the great cellist Mistislav Rostropovich at the Royal Festival Hall in London for L'Unità just minutes after his 75th Bithday Gala Concert. I remember I still had goose skin. Considered that he was exhausted by the concert he was very kind to me and could actually speak in Italian. He was the greatest cellist on hearth. I was so proud when my full page review and interview was published on the cultural section of "L'Unità".
Anything went in the 60s, including bringing your puppy to rehearsals. Luciano Berio conducts Rostropovich.
