Equality doesn't mean Justice== I think I'd like it better if it was equality does not mean fairness. Justice doesn't really translate well to first graders, but they all know about being equal and fair!
Great idea for assigning groups or roles. Use the bracelets for assigning students into teams for class projects. Or if you want random team assignment, put the bracelets in a paper bag and have students close their eyes and pick one.
This self respect lesson includes activities and printables. It can be used by teachers or guidance counselors in whole group or small group settings. I use it for a girls' group. It works well with character education programs.
Grouping students tool for the classroom - each child chooses a kiss. Use kisses and garage sale dot stickers! As a homeschooling parent, I don't have many needs to "grouping kids" but this is such a great idea I've got to remember it for co-op next year!
