Sunday swatch: Prism✨ I love swatching with Prism, because I get to see all the colors of recycled La Bien Aimée yarn that went into making this yarn. Prism uses 50% recycled threads from our dye studio. That yarn is incorporated into the Merino wool when the fiber is blended at the mill. This allows each piece of La Bien Aimée recycled thread to mix into the main color. The result is a truly heathered, prismatic effect, with variations of color inside the yarn itself.

Unlike Confetti, this time the La Bien Aimée recycled threads are incorporated before the wool is combed and blended. This created a beautiful heathering, as each little piece of upcycled yarn mixes in with the merino, creating variations of color inside the yarn itself.

The other half of the wool content is made only of La Bien Aimée recycled yarn bits. These are a mix of all of our bases, some superwash and some non-superwash. Prism is a 2-ply, woolen-spun yarn. It offers 175m (191 yds) for 50g. A traditional sport weight, it is a beautiful, versatile yarn that is perfect for colorwork and many other knitting techniques as well.
