TOMOCHIKA: WOMAN WITH CHILD AND MASK Netsuke, ivory. Japan, late 19th cent. Very neat work adhering to the typical style and quality of Tomochika. The woman is kneeling on the ground, wearing a Kimono and has a face somewhat in the style of the Okame. She has a long-nosed Tengu mask in front of her .Behind her is a courteously standing boy with both hands on the back of his mother. Signature underneath TOMO-CHIKA, small himotoshi on the back, flawless condition. LENGTH 3,85 CM
