This Remotely Operated Vehicle is another unmanned underwater vessel that helps scientists perform tasks underwater. These ROVs are connected by a tether to a command center where an operator controls it. ROVs are very adaptable, as you can attach another appendage if you need it to perform another job. Some jobs might include fixing or reinforcing oil lines underwater. ROVs are limited only by the length of the tether.
