This is the common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus)! Also called white-tufted-ear marmosets. Small Brazilian monkeys adapted to a wide variety of forest types and urban settings. Exudative-insectivores, they primarily eat tree gums, saps, and resins, as well as insects. Captured and illegally traded as pets, poor diet and exposure to human diseases compromise their good health in captivity. Wild populations are decreasing due to habitat loss and hunting. They are listed as Least Concern.
