Tree roots painting acrylic

THIS! This is definitely an inspiration, but just more color and little meaningful artsy details incorporated into both the bark of the tree and the overall painting. I like this cropping of the tree, or even closer while still including the root structure and at least one branch. It would just be one trunk, not two. I really love the strong texture of the trunk and roots. You could get a lot more creative with color blending too!

I painted these with watercolor on wood (I coat the wood with clear gesso to prevent it from absorbing the paint). These paintings are all inspired by my love of nature and my love for myth and story. I try to present things from nature like trees or fungus as dramatic and expressive characters, instead of background scenery.
