Stranger & Stranger redesigned the packaging for premium tequila brand El Tesoro. The design is inspired the the traditional stone tahonas that are typically used to crush the agave during the tequila-making process.

How did tequila come about? El Rayo knows. If you listen to Mexican folklore, it all happened when lightning struck the blue agave tree, cooking the plant. That’s the essential spirit in the Reposado edition that’s then softened for over seven months in oak whisky barrels. That gives it a sweet and delicate flavour, powered by notes of caramel and almond. No need for anything extra, unless you opt for a cocktail over a shot – then we’d mix it into a margarita.
