The Critical Importance of Obtaining "UM" Car Insurance - Blenner Law Group

This is a subject I’ve written about before and it’s time to do it again: If you do not have uninsured motorist protection (“UM”) on your policy of car insurance you are potentially placing yourself and your family in a position of financial jeopardy. I know insurance is complicated and with car insurance policies you’re sometimes buying up to five or six separate types of insurance. A Lesson in Defensive Driving: Check Your Blind Spot but not for too Long! | Dash Cam Have you had a close call or a collision to make you realize that traffic conditions can change in the blink of an eye? We created this video with front and interior dash cam footage as a reminder and a learning tool to illustrate just how fast traffic can slow down and as a lesson that you should always check your blind spot but not for too long. Footage from the car's BlackVue DR550GW-2CH forward and interior-facing lenses helps show us exactly when and for how long the driver looks over his left shoulder to check his blind spot in order to change lanes to the left. The driver is approaching a merging on-ramp with multiple vehicles about to merge into his current driving lane. At the exact moment that traffic slows down to allow for the merging cars our driver decides to check his blind spot. As you can see the driver looks over his shoulder and away from the road in front of him for about three to four seconds. That's all it took for the traffic in front of him to drastically slow down and cause a dramatic rear-end accident. We hope that this breakdown of what exactly went wrong to cause this rear-end car crash serves as a lesson in defensive driving! Accidents can happen so quickly! Will you be caught off-guard? What lesson about merging lanes or checking your blind spot can you take away from watching this dash cam video? Dashcam footage in this video was recorded on a BlackVue DR550GW-2CH. The newest version of the two-channel (front-facing and interior) BlackVue system shown in the video is the BlackVue DR650S-2CH-IR: http://ift.tt/2nEwktF Have you recorded a driving lesson learned on your own dash cam? How do you know who is at fault in rear end collisions

Rear-end collisions are probably the most common car accidents in Jacksonville. Not only is it very easy to rear-end the car ahead of you it is equally easy for another car to do the same to you. The good news about this kind of accent is that it rarely results in injuries but nevertheless you still have to deal with insurance in order to either give or get compensation for repairs. So who is usually at fault?
