Our next project was a paper mache Christmas tree. I picked up these cardboard cones at Michaels very inexpensively after Thanksgiving. We then cut out shapes with our Cricut in 3 different sizes – 1″, 1 1/2″, and 2″. Munchkin chose to do triangles and I did stars. Using Mod Podge, we put on the various designs of paper shapes. I chose to do the 2″ shape on the bottom, the 1 1/2″ on the middle, and the 1″ on the top. Munchkin put hers on more randomly. (Notice the black garbage bag on the…

Make cone shapes, any size, out of poster board, stuff with paper, add a stick and a round piece of poster board with hole for stick, a feww inches from tree bottom. Use a plastic cup or little pot for base filled with rocks and or sand. Cover with round piece with hole for stick. Cover all in paper mache (I use liquid starch and newspaper) and when dry, paint white. Then paint with acrylics, any way you like. Tiny to 3 + feet, whatever you want!
