Here are some foods that contain sleep-supporting compounds such as tryptophan, serotonin, melatonin, magnesium and calcium. While these may be helpful in promoting sleep, I am definitely not making any claims that your kiddo will sleep through the night once they start eating these foods!   Kiwi: contains serotonin, a nerve messenger that has a relaxing effect and can help with falling asleep faster.  Pineapple: known to boost melatonin levels in the body.  Berries: specifically strawberries and raspberries contain melatonin.  Bananas: rich in serotonin, some of it gets converted to melatonin.
