Flickriver - view images as a 'river of photos' and more...

Loosely based off the Castle In the Sky film by Hayao Miyazaki, this is one of my most favorite projects to date. It uses three motors, six large linear actuators, fiber optic lighting, spinning and moving up and down to create a sense of the city drifting. Check out my video to see it in action.

Inspired by the movie scene from ”Inception”, to keep the upper part floating is really not as easy as it looks, the height and weight of each building and the position of those chains.....all needed to take into consideration. And it became even harder when I tried to make each building looks a bit different from the others.
