Galettes (Belgian Waffle Cookies) --another recipe is: 2 eggs 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup soft butter, 1 1/2 cups flour 1/4 cup cornstarch 1tsp. vanilla extract 1tsp almond extract Beat eggs add sugar beat again.Stir in butter and flavorings Sift flour and cornstarch together and add to mixture. Chill dough in refrigerator. Remove and form into balls. Place 1 ball. size of a walnut, on each grid section of iron. Remove cookies after 2 or 3 minutes. Try both, see which one beings back best memories.
