Although Lifetime makes a point of mentioning that the children were locked away for over two years, the kids look pretty much the same throughout the movie, maybe a little paler, but nothing that suggests that they have been locked away for more than a few months. It's also obvious that Cathy and Chris have already hit puberty at the beginning, so the "talk" that Corrine has with Cathy about her body changing and that Chris will go through changes as well is more than a little ridiculous.
