Dance inspires some great lively drawings but figure skating (always the poor relation) doesn't inspire even though there is beauty and athleticism. I love the feeling of freedom and movement on ice and I understand what the moves feel like. This seems like a good starting point to draw from. Dancer and Figure Skater gestures

I want to get into the motion of drawing more dynamic poses so while watching Jasmine Meakin (Mega Jam) dance on YouTube I thought dancing would be a good way to start. So I used some shots from her videos to do some gestures. The figure skating ones came from Disney Channel's old movie Ice Princess. It was fun trying out those dynamic yet graceful poses. Makes me want to draw more dancer type stuff.
