I ragged the walls with smears of Chalk Paint® in Country Grey and Paris Grey. Spritzed with a water bottle and then ragged the mixture across the wall doing two foot sections at a time. You hardly use any paint doing this technique and it gives such an atmosphere~and it's fun! Ragging the walls and more Cobblestones

Round two on the floors at the new Reading store had Colin taking over completely after about 5 hours of squatting and shifting across the floor. I couldn't take it anymore! It all started with this very large blank wall in our dining room/kitchen. My first instinct was shiplap, but I wanted to try something new! Ever since I made my sons "Fire Station" I have wanted to use the brick paneling elsewhere. This was my chance a faux brick wall and here is how we did it!

DIY Home Decor: How To Paint a Faux Concrete Wall Finish

A few years ago I wrote about a distressed glazing technique which has a distressed feel to it, a way we developed to add visual texture to your walls that doesn’t like a stock rag rolling. Here, we take this process one step further. The look is both soft and contemporary, works well in urban environments, and is still livable. It’s unique every time, and in this example we’re emphasizing a linear quality, as if the “concrete” was poured into a wood formwork.
