Card Illustrated for the game "Chroma: Bloom and Blight". Had a lot of fun coming up with the design for this creature, known as the "Dragon Beetle".

Wonderful alternative character concept - insect folk creature or player character - great for a themed game or location Orchid mantis~. Ball-gown-version. Bloomers would most likely be closer to the original creatures and I will have to draw one with that kind of “clothing” later, but I liked the idea of a wide skirt too much to not instantly scribble it down. d

Although many times larger, growing to a length of about 5 feet, giant wasps behave generally the same as their smaller cousins. Giant Wasps are highly aggressive, and will attack anything that wanders within their sphere of influence. Due to their immense size, their sting can be almost instantly lethal, and is capable of puncturing plate armor.
