To do a relevé, you must rise up on the pointe or demi-pointe from flat feet often using a little spring from a demi-plié, during which both feet are swiftly drawn up.

passe (releve)- working leg passes the supporting leg, sliding close to the knee (passing from front to back-little toe drags up the leg, passes behind knee, and heel drags down the leg), supporting leg is in releve position when the working leg lifts off the floor until it lands back on the floor
