The August art session with my little "firsties" was a HUGE success. We created "Wild About 1st Grade" self-portraits. They turned out so dang cute! It was a lot of fun to combine some guided art along with "do your own thing" directions. The bulletin board is adorable. Spring is finally here! I love finding ways to integrate art into content areas such as language arts and math. I cannot think of a better project to welcome spring than by creating echo art flowers through a directed drawing exercise.
