Lake Königssee is located in Berchtesgaden National Park near the German-Austrian border. This crystal clear alpine lake is said to be the cleanest in Germany because since 1909 only pedal, rowing or electric boats have been allowed on it. You can take a ferry across the lake from Schönau am Königssee to Obersee (which is the most amazing hiking area!) and if you fancy a stop, you can get off halfway at the beautiful St Bartholomew Church for some lunch and obligatory glass of German beer. 🍺...
