A study of Gallic warriors around 50 BC. The figure in the foreground is a chieftain from Gaul (modern France). He is armed with the very latest in late La Tene armour and weapons. His helmet is the type known as Agen and his sword is the most lavish broadsword that the Celts ever produced. The figure in the background could be from any period either Early La Tene or late. He is armed as a warrior should be, with spear, shield and sword.
