Dostoevsky in Paris 1863 | "Though The Brothers Karamazov is by far his longest novel, and is by no means a quick read, it is so worth the time to read it. Certainly an amazing final piece of writing to offer the world before you die." ~ Ali @ gimmesomeoven.com

Nina Pavlovna Petrova, nicknamed “Mama Nina,” was born in 1893 and was nearly middle-aged (48) when the war came to Russia. Volunteering for service, she went to sniper school and took 122 enemy soldiers in the course of her duties. Unfortunately, she was killed in a car accident at age 53, just seven days before the end of the war.
