Rowena wildflowers offer a breathtaking view on the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in Oregon. The area is only 85 miles long and 4,000 feet deep on about 293,000 acres, of which about 25,000 acres are wilderness. But there is plenty to be seen, including more than 1,000 historic buildings and archeological sites, 800 species of wildflowers, 44 species of fish and 200 species of birds.

The Columbia River Gorge is a canyon of the Columbia River in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Up to 4,000 feet (1,200 m) deep, the canyon stretches for over 80 miles (130 km) as the river winds westward through the Cascade Range forming the boundary between the State of Washington to the north and Oregon to the south.
