USS Yorktown, the ship that lived to fight at the famous battle of Midway despite the enemy's confidence they had sunk her at Coral Sea...

The USS Yorktown (CV at the Pearl Harbor on May After Coral Sea, the Japanese thought they would never see her again and with only 48 hours of repairs she put out to sea again heading to Midway to join the fight.

USS Yorktown (CV-5) sank on June 7, 1942 in the battle of Midway as a result of battle damage and Japanese torpedo hits.

The almost perfectly preserved USS Yorktown ship wreck more than three miles down.
