Disney's most underrated villian! Horned King from The Black Cauldron. The Black Cauldron is a 1985 animated feature produced by Walt Disney Pictures and originally released to theatres on July 24, 1985. The twenty-fifth animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics, the film is based on Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain book series, which is in turn based on Welsh mythology. -----> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088814/ & http://youtu.be/AIT3HM0f0-s

I decided to draw the Horned King from The Black Cauldron. Not Disney's best movie, but I still enjoy it a lot. You bring news of the Pig?

The Black Cauldron. Need to watch!!

Eilonwy and Taran! Finally drawn canonically! I'm so tired of seeing the hideous Disney version instead of my bbs.

The Forgotten Disney Princess - Eilonwy, Princess of Prydain, and Taran.- from The Black Cauldron.

so sad, but true. I know the first three aren't, but when I say Disney I include them anyways. Because they are just as big a part of my childhood as the other Disney Princesses.<<Amen!!

Anastasia and The Swan Princess were part of my childhood movie foundation. Quest for Camelot is a more recent but I love it just as much. And poor Princess Eilonwy - I remember you!

“It kills me that Princesses Eilonwy and Kida aren’t given the attention they deserve as Disney Princesses. Mulan isn’t a princess and she’s always pictured with the other princesses.”

But let's face it, Mulan is awesome!well, both of these movies failed miserably at the box office, unlike Mulan which was really successful. The Black Cauldron was beat out by the Care Bears movie on opening week, if you can believe it.

The Black Cauldron - loved it as a kid, loved those books. Then I saw the movie again as an adult and really didn't see what was so great about it. Still. Munchy-Crunchies in there somewhere.
