The Chicago Tribune used one of their photos from another story (about a new Franciscan community being founded in Chicago) to illustrate an opinion piece about the Vatican move to reform a US organization for sisters. I strongly doubt that the Franciscans are as "stunned, sad, weary, worried" about the move as the article suggests. I know I'm not! (More on my Nunblog; romans8v29.blogspot)
Opinion sentence starters- I would create a chart displaying these sentence starters for opinion writing pieces, then refer to these when modeling how to write an opinion piece. Students could use these to start their opinion writing piece.
