Kabuki Costume – Quarreling Crows. This is a late Edo period (1860s) Kabuki costume made of Chirimen (silk crepe) and depicting Crows fighting amongst themselves in mid flight, using the Rozome (wax resist dyeing) technique. Crows are also messengers of the Shinto gods and as such are thought to have supernatural powers.
