This is my Grandmothers version of Hungarian Chicken Paprikash. If there is food served in Heaven, I am sure this is on the menu! My Grandmother was the best cook ever. She would have this hardy dish ready and we could hardly wait! Now I serve it
This recipe has been passed down in my Hungarian family for generations and perfected. I now use boneless chicken despite bone-in being the tradition. I think it makes it a little more friendly with (Boneless Chicken Meals)
Chicken Paprika - Hungarian Chicken Paprikash ~ Morry loved it kids ate it but didn't love it. Try smaller chicken bites and even more bell pepper next time. Used regular paprika, try sweeter Hungarian next time.
Chicken Paprikash - 1 Large Onion 2 Garlic Cloves , minced 3 tbsp Olive Oil 2 lb Skinless Chicken Thighs , bone in (900g) 1 tsp Salt ¼ tsp Black Pepper 2 tbsp Sweet Paprika 1 Bay Leaf 1½ cup Chicken Stock 1 cup Heavy Cream 2 tbsp Sour Cream 5 tbsp Corn Starch ½ Lemon or more to taste
