* Bourbon chicken * A flavorful chicken dish named after Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana This was a copycat recipe I found & modified of the Bourbon Chicken sold in most Chinese take-outs; which rarely use bourbon as a component.
Straight off of Bourbon Street in New Orleans, this tender bourbon chicken is covered in a slightly sweet sauce with a little kick. It's a true taste of the South you won't be able to resist. There's even instructions for making it in the slow cooker!
Crock Pot Bourbon Chicken 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken, cut into bite-size pieces ½ c teriyaki sauce ½ c chicken broth (or bourbon) 2 T honey 1 t mustard ½ c brown sugar 1 t garlic powder 2 T dried minced onions ⅛ t ground ginger rice, prepared
