Paul Williams became famous for his role in designing the Los Angeles International Airport and homes of many movie stars. Many of the most beautiful houses in Hollywood were designed by Paul Williams. He joined the Los Angeles Planning Commission and became the first African American member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). In 1957, he was the first Black elected to the prestigious AIA College of Fellows.
