Use burlap or felt to make no-sew curtains. Glue the side seams and duct tape the hem. I'm thinking too that this picture would be a great frayed-bottom of a curtain since burlap holds well when ironed. Then hand-stitch in place, and even cover the stitching with ribbon or duct tape.

I have had many people ask about one of our window treatments in our shop its super easy and only 5 dollars.....You can get a very wide burlap ribbon at Michaels in the wedding/bridal aisle. I think its $4.99 or $5.99. Then on a rod....you just cut a piece of the ribbon and tie it in a knot. Then you continue to cut pieces until you have covered the rod. I didnt even use the whole bolt of ribbon.
