Nurses in the Emergency Department must triage a revolving population of patients. Nurses who work in the Emergency Room often deal with chaos and extreme situations, not to mention extreme patients. Depending upon the location, expect to be dealing with substance abuse, domestic violence, suicide attempts, anaphylactic shock, MIs, CVAs, and lots of codes.
